莎士比亞筆下3人物

莎士比亞之 Richard III (查理3世)论文:

人物解析.发现人出事故很多时候都因嫉妒二字.

其他人物在文中做评: Macbeth(马可白-), Othelo (奥塞罗) 都是悲剧,差点就吧Romeo与Juliet搬上来了...

这是考AP那年写的... 现在读起来发现对Richard的解读还是过于极端，其实他也没有那么坏，倒是自己狂用辞藻抹黑他。。。。哎。。。 villain... i have some pity for you now....

DECADENT DEEDS

A calm heart is the life of the fleshy organism, but jealousy is rottenness to the bones.

     Both King Solomon, who received divine inspiration, and Shakespeare, 2,500 years later reveal the utmost weakness in human nature. Jealousy, from the beginning of human history, has been the cause of many devastating destruction of lives. The strong desire to gain power and fame had driven many to stir up wars and outrage. As Shakespeare conceived jealousy in the tragedy of Richard III, Richard proves himself a guile villain and a callous killer. The absence of love and the ambition for the crown of England ignite Richard to ruin the tranquility and order of the country. Richard's jealousy is the ultimate cause for his evil deeds.

     In the opening of the play, Richard's speech unveils his jealousy. Alone onstage, he reveals his intension to play the villain. “Since I cannot prove a lover…I am determined to prove a villain. And hate the idle pleasures of these days. Plots have I laid…as I am subtle, false and treacherous." Richard has no justification for seizing the throne since the soldiers have put aside their “stern alarums” and celebrate in peace. Everyone seems to have a good time. Richard, on the other hand,"[has] no delight to pass away the time."He is"curtailed" by his physical deformity. From Richard's speech, we sense less of his desire to be king, but his jealousy for love is strongly toned. He is jealous of those who could "strut before a wanton ambling nymph". And since he cannot fetch love and be loved, he is going to destroy peace and take away love from others. His jealousy is different from Iago's. Iago who is conceited in his deeds in battle: “I, of whom [Othello's] eyes had seen the proof”, (Act 1.Scene 1:25) is jealous of the recognition that Othello gives to Cassio, whom Iago views as a “bookish theoric”. Not content with his title and the recognition of Othello might be Iago's original motive to torture Othello.

     We are all jealous in someway, but we may not be as fearless and guileful like Richard or Iago. Richard's power in language enables him to manipulate those around him and assist him in carrying out his order of execution. Richard murders in a swift and callous way. Whoever stands in his way is doomed to be killed. His callous attitude leaves the audience to reflect the solitary Richard experiences, and even making him sympathetic like “a bark to brook no mighty sea”. (Act 3 Scene 7:164) Richard is resolute. Unlike Macbeth who is “full of the milk of human-kindness”, Richard is never afraid of committing evil deeds. He is always ready to carry out crime after crime. He has no hesitation, nor does he have scruples with his conscience, fear, or honour. Affection and honour hinder Macbeth from murdering Duncan. He pauses again and again before Duncan. Macbeth is not confident in himself. He entrusts super-natural superstition. The vision of the dagger and the seeking for advice from the witches illustrate Macbeth's uncertainty, whereas Richard thinks he's the one causing the thunder and storm in which so many lives are shipwrecked though the ultimate victim is himself.

     Richard is devoid of love. He hasn't had a taste of affection. “There is no creature loves me, and if I die no soul will pity me.” (Act 5. Scene 3:212-213) When he is asleep, as the ghosts of the people he murdered appeared in his dream and cursing Richard to “despair and die”, conscience stirs in him. “My conscience hath a thousand several tongues, and every tongue brings in a several tale” (Act 5 Scene 3:205) Richard's fortitude starts to weaken; fear starts to grow. The ghosts remind him the evil deeds he's trying to erase from his memory. Slowly, he realizes he is all alone and he even finds “no pity to [himself]”. This separates him from Iago, Iago's last line in Othello shows that he has not repented: “Demand me nothing: what you know, you know…I never will speak word.” (Act 5 Scene 2:297) This guileful man still tries to hide his machination. It can be interpreted that Iago uses his silence to score his final goal – torturing Othello to death! Richard wakes up in fear and utters: “Murder, stern murder, in the direst degree...I shall despair…Tomorrow's vengeance on the head of Richard." These passages seem to indicate that at last, he is repentant for his evil deeds.

     The war of Roses ends with Richard's death. Yet the discussion of Richard has not ended. This character is too unnatural for its existence; too foolishly witted, the reader is compelled to deem that he is created deformedly only to serve as an actor that “struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more.” He does not belong to this world. Even one's wicked thoughts are no march to his wicked deeds.

space 開業5年~~ 重新開放一下

哇塞一轉就5年咯~~

雖然只是斷斷續續得用msn...

除了qzone..msn space應算是最老字號的啦~~

開始時只是開了看看美女寫寫文字..

上學時看看大家的近況

前幾年當大家都移居到MySpace.Facebook的時候... msn space也無人問津了

當然主要也是 microsoft 在技術是跟不上其他年輕有為的創業者,懂得如何吸引學生族群和白領們~~~

雖然現在從msn升級到live... 不過速度還依然是很Man(慢)

blog 也斷斷續續好像删了很多。。。

不过看到很多以前写的文章还是很感触的~~ 记录了自己的成长周围的朋友~

呵呵原来自己以前的電腦介面很華麗！而且還很幼稚的說 '希望 Vista 突破瓶頸做到最好..'.呵呵 Windows7 系統也快出了！我還在用穩定的XP

關於感情關於寫作... 這些快要淡忘的事又因為看了以前的blog涌上心頭...

實在有趣~~

成长 1

haven't published any entries for a long time... this blog was written last month 如果你读了完那一定留个言哈因为很长

第一次做全时工作,很多体会,it lasted for一周… 在一个家庭医生那里做助理. 当然也是因为母亲的关系才会去那里工作, Dr.Greenwood那里有人放假… 一周没人顶替. 故Dr. 求在他那里做中医的我妈妈帮他一周… 而母亲不愿卷入reception那些女人的错综复杂关系之中. 所以我就去啦….…

最开始我以为只是帮那doctor一天, 做完一天就走人啦, 好家伙…..最后把我留在那里一周…

Dr 的office 也很远的…深入西区挨着UBC… 他人也总是往那个大学里的医院跑… 我呢, 每天要8:45到… 所以把作息时间都调整了, 以前睡到8点多, 现在要八点多去赶那个 bus 98 B-Line …还要打领带… 热死俺啦….下班是在6点… 到家以后就7点….虽然没有太多体力劳动,但每天都好累,好大压力…回到家几乎没脑力做别的东西…

牢骚发完, 讲讲收获…

这几天, 来了很多小病人…呵呵好多来打预防针的小babies~~ ^_^ 他们太可爱啦…很喜欢逗他们…眼睛眨来眨去的…超可爱…. 时常令我想起妹妹小的时候. 如果是刚出生不久的, 你把手指放到她的掌心,她就会自然的把你的手指攥住. Natural reflex. ~~ hehe 还有个小男孩, 我哈着腰,张开双手想给他个high-five…他以为我是要抱他, 直接给了我个hug … hoho 他妈妈都特惊讶的说我how nice and lucky .

每天的highlight 就是看到这些小baby and child… Even the doctor said: “ they make your day.”

他们会帮我从那些病例,化验单, 医疗报告中纾解纾解.

上班的第一天是最有压力的… 尤其是接电话, 这边电话没讲完,那边又来一通. 而且frist day on the job…很多的档案…报告我的不知道在哪里找..然后又不想让电话那边的人等久, 所以一时间要多线作业….非常stressful when you do multi-task. @@ 而且这个office里的receptionist… 一时间要记得好多要做的事情。。。
